Description
These new/unissued IDF combat vests I believe were manufactured in the US for an unfulfilled IDF contract. These vests were manufactured between 2004 and 2006 by LIOR. These vests are loaded with features, too many to list. Please carefully inspect pictures to see the layout of all pouches and features.
The Rifleman
- 4 mag pouches that will fit 10 x 30rd magazines
- 10 small utility pouches of varying size
- 2 inverted canteen pouches
- Large detachable assault pack with various internal pockets
The Machine Gunner
- 2 mag pouches that hold 5 x 30rd magazines
- 2 large pouches that can be used for MG ammo, or other large items with the elastic organizers
- 11 small utility pouches of various sizes
- 2 inverted canteen pouches
- 1 small patrol pack (non-removable)
- 2 medium pouches on rear of vest
The RTO/Medic
- 3 mag pouches that will fit 8 x 30rd magazines
- 11 small utility pouches of varying size
- 2 inverted canteen pouches
- Large removable bag that holds a large organizer
- The organized can be removed from the bag and worn separately with its own pack straps
The Grenadier
- 2 mag pouches that will fit 6 x 30rd magazines
- 20 x 40MM grenade pouches
- 9 small pouches of various sizes
- 2 inverted canteen pouches
- 1 small patrol pack (non-removable)
- 2 medium pouches on rear of vest
Due to their age and unissued condition the nylon may feel slightly "sticky" inside the pouches but this will decrease with usage.
These vests are New/Unissued but have been sitting in storage for 20 years. Due to the prolonged time in storage, the PU coating on the nylon may be sticky, or starting to degrade (the severity varies from vest to vest). This does not affect the structural integrity of the vest in any way. There are various methods for stopping the stickiness, cleaning the fabric, or reapplying a new coating to the material. Please do your own research.
NOTE: There seems to be some variation in webbing colors and hardware used (see last picture). No choice, sorry.
